BBC Radio 3 launches classical music podcast
Radio 1’s Clara Amfo and Dev, BBC Radio 6 music presenters Shaun Keaveny and Amy Lamé, BBC Asian Network’s Bobby Friction and broadcaster Gemma Cairney are the first guests to appear on BBC Radio 3’s new classical music podcast.
In each episode of Classical Fix, broadcaster and writer Clemency Burton-Hill will curate a bespoke playlist of six tracks for her guest, who will then join her to discuss their impressions of their brand new classical music discoveries.
Classical Fix is the latest podcast from BBC Radio 3. Also amongst the station’s podcast offering is Time Travellers, a weekly collection of quirky and unexpected tales from history, and The Listening Service, an odyssey through the musical universe presented by Tom Service, exploring just how music works.
BBC Radio 3’s Classical Fix will join the BBC’s existing podcast offering which includes series from across BBC radio stations and those which exist solely as podcasts.
The first episode of Classical Fix with guest Shaun Keaveny is available to download now from your usual podcast app. New episodes will be available for download weekly.
