Radio 1’s Dean McCullough is second eviction from I’m A Celebrity
The public have voted for Dean McCullough to be the second person sent home from the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! camp.
Ant and Dec announced the result, which was between the Radio 1 DJ and Barry McGuigan, during Sunday night’s episode of the show.
Dean admitted that he wasn’t disappointed to be going home, and the experience was nothing like what he expected.
Following being voted for the first Bushtucker Trial which saw him doing quite a bit of screaming, Dean was nominated to do seven trials.
Speaking about the experience, he told Ant and Dec: “I wanted to do my family proud and myself proud. I am a strong person; I’ve just never been in that situation before.
“When I woke up this morning, I thought if I go today, I’ll be over the moon, I’ve lived the whole experience, I got to see the Jungle Junkyard.
“It was nothing like I expected it to be not at all. You don’t see the way the camp has to keep moving, we’re so close, we sleep next to it.”
He also added that he’d learned a lot about himself while he’s been in the jungle, he said he’d “soaked up this whole experience” and didn’t mind being voted out.
Dean, who was greeted by his mum, Ann as he exited the camp across the bridge, said of what he’d realised over the past two weeks: “I’ve learned that life is better when it’s simpler. You really, really don’t need to be on your phone all the time. You don’t need to be chasing the next appointment, the next meeting, the next gig.
“You can literally just sit in the moment and just watch what is going on.”
