Leigh-Anne performs for Capital in first live showcase as solo artist
Last night, Capital Up Close Presents Leigh-Anne with Lucozade Zero saw the singer perform her first live showcase as a solo artist.
The intimate gig took place at The Pergola on the Wharf in London where she performed a selection of acoustic tracks including her hit single ‘Don’t Say Love’.
Leigh-Anne also gave an exclusive performance of her brand-new song ‘My Love’ and said that the message behind the song is “strong” and “powerful”. She wants her fans listening to know that “self-love is the most important kind of love” and the lyrics put that message front and centre.
She confirmed that ‘My Love’ officially comes out worldwide on 8 September.
Discussing her album, Leigh-Anne teased that she wants to release it at some point “next year”. She also said that she wants to release more songs from the project before it’s released in full.
Among those attending last night were her parents, so and Leigh-Anne dedicated an acoustic performance of ‘I Say A Little Prayer’ to her mum in the audience.
