What did Elton John tell Capital Breakfast about playing more shows
Sir Elton John joined Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp this morning to talk about his Farewell Yellow Brick Road The Final Tour.
When Roman asked how he felt about coming up to his last gig in London, Sir Elton didn’t really commit to it being his last.
“We’ve done nine at The O2 already and this will be the tenth one…I don’t know if it’s going to be, when I started this tour I said, “I am not touring again”…I might do the odd show here and there, I don’t know if it’s going to be my last show in London because, I haven’t thought about it because I don’t want to tour,” he told the breakfast host.
He also said that he doesn’t want to go back to Las Vegas again, adding: “I don’t want to go back there. I don’t want to go anywhere to be honest, when I finish – I’ll give you this piece of information, I worked it out, that this tour has lasted 329 shows, which if you start on January the 1st and finish on November 5th, we’ve played every single day from January 1st to November 5th.”
Listen to Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp, weekdays from 6am – 10am across the UK and on Global Player.
