Fleur “was robbed”, Strictly’s Craig Revel Horwood tells Magic Radio

Craig Revel Horwood joined Ronan and Harriet on Magic Breakfast this morning to talk all things Strictly.

He popped in for a chat with the Breakfast hosts ahead of the upcoming Strictly Come Dancing tour.

Harriet and Ronan asked Craig what the requirements are to be called for a Strictly audition?

“Just be famous for something,” he quickly replied.

When asked about his thoughts on some of last year’s Strictly stars, Craig said: “Fleur, can I say this on Magic darling, she was robbed, there you go that’s just me.

“I mean I absolutely love Fleur…for me in the final anyone could have won, I think Hamza did an absolutely spectacular job and he had all the audience behind him which is really important as well.

“But I thought Fleur really came out of her shell and she was absolutely extraordinary. And I’m not just saying that!”

Last year’s Strictly saw colleagues and friends of Magic Radio, KISS presenter Tyler West and Hits Radio presenter Fleur East, as contestants on the show and both will be making a comeback for the tour.

Craig also commended Fleur for her resilience and getting herself out of the “dance gutter” as he rather brutally described her multiple dance-offs referring to the Hits Radio presenter as “Spectacular”.

He also revealed that Fleur is set to perform her Destiny’s Child number on the tour, saying: “She’s doing her Destiny’s child track which I absolutely adore. That’s one of my favourite, favourite routines…she is spectacular.”
