Fleur East crowned top of heat magazine’s Fit List 2022
Hits Radio’s Fleur East has been named as top of heat magazine’s annual Fit List.
The list, which is compiled to celebrate body positivity by highlighting women who inspire people across the country, also includes other female radio broadcasters in the Top 30.
Topping the list, Fleur has wowed the nation with her discipline on Strictly Come Dancing and she became the first UK trainer on the popular international fitness app SWEAT.
Speaking in an exclusive Q&A interview in the latest edition of heat, she said: “It felt insane. I’ve always wanted to have my own fitness programme, so working with SWEAT is such a dream come true. I’ve followed so many of their workouts, like Insanity with Shaun T, Jillian Michaels, so to have the opportunity to have my own is incredible.”
Other factors helping Fleur achieve the top spot on the list include her endurance presenting the breakfast show on Hits Radio every weekday and her 2020 appearance on celebrity ITV show Don’t Rock the Boat, where she joined other stars in rowing the length of the UK.
“You have to feel and believe that you can do something. Yes, you have to have a level of physical ability, but your mind can take you so much further,” Fleur told heat magazine. “I take that mindset into everything I do in life, because whether it’s family, relationships or work, it does make me stronger as a person.”
Other female radio personalities appearing in the list are Hits Radio’s Gemma Atkinson, BBC Radio 1’s Vick Hope and Adelle Roberts, plus former Radio 1 host Maya Jama.
