Kasabian to play exclusive Sheffield gig for Radio X
The exclusive show for fans will take place at O2 Academy Sheffield on Monday 28 November.
Radio X’s Toby Tarrant announced the gig on air this morning.
The Leicester group returned earlier this year, scoring their sixth number one album with the release of The Alchemist’s Euphoria. They played major festivals and outdoor shows this summer, including Liam Gallagher’s Knebworth gigs.
The BRIT Awards winning four piece have also played at arenas around the country this year, as part of their UK and European tour.
Radio X Presents Kasabian with Barclaycard will be to just under 2000 fans, which is a rare opportunity to see them in a venue of this size.
Kasabian said: “We’re looking forward to coming back to Sheffield and blowing the roof off of the O2 Academy. Thanks to Radio X for inviting us!”
Radio X’s Managing Editor Matt Deverson said: “Having just toured arenas across Europe and the UK, Radio X Presents Kasabian with Barclaycard is a rare opportunity for fans to see the whites of the eyes of one of the greatest live acts on the planet. It promises to be totally unmissable. Thanks to our partners at Barclaycard we’re able to bring this special gig to fans and our listeners.”
Tickets for the exclusive gig go on sale at 9am on Friday 18 November via Global Player.
Highlights from the show will be available exclusively on Global Player at 7pm on Monday 5 December.
