KISS DJ Tyler West flies 12,000 miles for just over two hour stay

KISS presenter and Strictly contestant Tyler West recently took a quick round trip to Mauritius for his brother’s wedding.

Speaking with fellow hosts Jordan and Perri on the KISS Breakfast show, Jordan told Tyler he was blown away he’d managed to squeeze into his busy schedule a 9-hour trip to be the best man at his older brother’s wedding.

Tyler responded: “Everyone keeps saying nine hours, but the problem is, I didn’t take into considering how long it will be to collect your bag, get the transfer, get through security and everything like that. So, in actual fact I flew a twelve-thousand-mile round trip, and I was at my brother’s wedding for two hours and forty-five minutes!”

He also revealed to Jordan and Perri that he was an emotional wreck during the trip: “I honestly felt like I had somebody squeeze an onion into my eye for the whole trip, I just did not stop crying, I was an emotional wreck from everything lack of sleep everything,” he said.

As for Tyler’s Doctor Who tango for last weekend’s Strictly, he was on a mission to prove The Rock wrong after Dwayne Johnson gave him a three when the Black Adam actor paid visit to KISS Breakfast earlier last week.

He did it by scoring 32 points – the same as Will Mellor and Fleur East. They were just behind Hamza Yassin and Helen Skelton, who each scored 35 points.

Mission accomplished!
