Gemma Atkinson admits she wouldn’t mind Fleur East stealing partner Gorka for Strictly

Hits Radio presenter and former Strictly star, Gemma Atkinson was chatting to her colleague Fleur East on her show yesterday afternoon following the news that Fleur has joined the line-up for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

When Gemma’s co-host Mike Toolan asked Fleur if she thought she was in with a chance of being partnered with Gorka, Fleur replied that everyone had been saying the same thing, but she’d feel bad at taking him away from Manchester based Gemma.

Gemma quipped: “I don’t need him in Manchester all the time! Two days a week max!

“I was talking to Gorka this morning and he asked ‘how tall is she’? I said I think around 5’4 or 5’5 and he said ‘Ok that’s either me, Nikita or Neil.’ That’s what he thinks because it’s all done off height. But of course, you could ask for a two-inch heel shoe and then you’re in the Graziano range!”

Gemma also went on to reveal that she asked for small heels because she was a nightmare: “If I’d have been in a two-inch heel, I probably would have got Brendan but I asked for a smaller heel and I got Alijaz!,” she added.
