Amanda Holden wears money dress as Heart gives away £1m in competition
Amanda Holden wore a spectacular money dress this morning for the live final of Heart’s Make Me a Millionaire which saw key worker Tommy Norton win £1 million, the biggest cash prize on UK radio.
The competition has been running on Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden for the past 11 weeks. There’s been hundreds of winners take home prize sums of up to £30,000.
Over the past 11 weeks, each winner has faced an ultimatum – to take that day’s prize fund, which has ranged from £1,000 to £30,000 – or enter into the draw for a chance of winning £1 million.
Heart listener Tommy, a key worker who works for the electricity board, won the grand prize of £1,000,000 this morning, with nine runners-up leaving with £1,000 each.
Needless to say, Tommy was left virtually speechless when it was revealed he’d won the money as he sat in his van – you can see his reaction in the video below.

Both Jamie and Amanda made an extra special effort by dressing up for the occasion, but Amanda’s dress, made out of money, was also a clear winner!
