Rylan joins BBC Children in Need presenting team for 2026

Rylan has been announced as the latest presenter joining BBC Children in Need’s 2026 Appeal Show after a surprise appearance from Pudsey on BBC Radio 2.

The presenter was surprised by the charity’s famous yellow bear during his Saturday show yesterday, revealing that he will join Alex Jones and Sara Cox for the live broadcast on Friday 13 November.

Rylan is a long-standing supporter of BBC Children in Need and previously raised over £1 million for the charity in 2019, when he completed a 24-hour KaRyoke challenge with BBC Radio 2.

Speaking about his new role, Rylan said: “What an honour to be joining the BBC Children in Need presenting team this year!”

He also recalled meeting young people at a project funded by the charity during his fundraising challenge, explaining how he saw first-hand the difference its support made to their lives.

Rylan added: “I can’t wait to be part of the show on 13 November, to shine a light on some incredible young people and raise lots of money to help ensure every child has someone by their side when they need it most.”

Further presenters are expected to be announced over the coming days, as preparations continue for this year’s Appeal Show, which will broadcast live from Salford on BBC iPlayer and BBC One.

At the heart of this year’s fundraising effort is Challenge Yourself 2026, BBC Children in Need’s flagship campaign encouraging people of all ages to take on challenges inspired by the number 26.

The campaign is to raise money to help children and young people thrive, with the Appeal Show highlighting the work supported by donations across the UK.
