Scott Mills leaves BBC Radio 2 following personal conduct allegations

Scott Mills has left BBC Radio 2 and is no longer contracted, following allegations regarding his personal conduct.

The BBC confirmed his departure in a brief statement, saying it does not comment on individual matters. No further details about the allegations or circumstances have been provided.

Mills had been presenting the Breakfast show until last Tuesday, with Gary Davies covering the slot since.

He joined Radio 2 in 2022, taking over the weekday afternoon show from Steve Wright, before moving to Breakfast in January 2025, replacing Zoe Ball, marking a significant change to the station’s daytime line-up.

Mills had previously built a long career with the BBC, including presenting on BBC Radio 1 before his move to Radio 2.

The broadcaster has not announced who will cover his programmes long term or any schedule changes.
