Ant & Dec to host record-breaking radio music quiz for charity day
Ant & Dec are set to host a nationwide music quiz as part of this year’s Cash for Kids Day.
The live event will be broadcast across Bauer Media UK stations in a first-of-its-kind simulcast, aiming to break a Guinness World Records title for the largest online quiz.
The hour-long show will air stations including Hits Radio, Absolute Radio, KISS, Magic Radio and Greatest Hits Radio, bringing together audiences across the UK.
Presenters from across the network will take part, including Ken Bruce, Chloe Burrows, Dave Berry, Fleur East, Tyler West, Simon Mayo, Gok Wan and Joe Elliott.
The quiz will take place at 1pm on 30 April, with listeners invited to tune in and play along in real time after signing up online.
Ant said the opportunity to host a large-scale music quiz while attempting a world record made the event even more exciting, while Dec highlighted the importance of supporting children and families through the charity’s work.
The quiz is based on PopMaster, promising a mix of music, competition and prizes for participants.
A minimum £5 donation is required to take part, with all funds supporting Cash for Kids Impact Grants, helping young people facing poverty, illness, neglect or additional needs.
Managing Director Sally Aitchison said the event is to bring communities together while raising vital funds on a record-breaking scale.
Cash for Kids Day remains the charity’s biggest annual fundraiser, supporting more than 300,000 children across the UK each year.
The World’s Biggest Music Quiz will be broadcast live across participating stations, with hopes of setting a new global record while raising money for those in need.
