Jade hints at writing a musical and supporting Ariana Grande

Pop star Jade joined Fleur East, Will Best and James Barr on the Hits Radio Breakfast Show this morning, where she revealed that her next big creative move might be to write a musical.
During the Friday Fry-Up chat, Jade said she’s always brainstorming new ideas and would love to create something rooted in her Geordie heritage.
“A Little Mix musical has to happen but I really want to write a Geordie musical,” she explained. “I’d like to write a good football-focused musical and there’s a song called Shearer, Shearer.”
She also suggested the show could tackle real-life themes. “I think it would be a good way of incorporating issues like LGBT, bringing it into the storyline maybe like Montague and Capulets but it’s like Sunderland and Newcastle in a musical,” she said.
Jade also revealed her dream collaboration with her friend Ariana Grande, who recently announced her new Wicked tour.
“I’d love nothing more than to support Ariana Grande on tour, genuinely,” she said. “I know her, she’s lovely and we get on well, so I think it would be good… there’s been no talk, we’re starting it now, we’re manifesting!”
Until then, Hits Radio listeners can catch Jade performing at Hits Radio Live on 21 November in Birmingham at bp Pulse LIVE. She’ll join a star-studded line-up including Calvin Harris, Jess Glynne, Myles Smith and Alex Warren.
