Myles Smith explains giggles at end of hit track Gold
Myles Smith revealed the story behind the laughter at the end of his hit track Gold during a guest appearance on Capital Breakfast.
Speaking to hosts Jordan North, Chris Stark and Sian Welby about the song, Smith explained that the moment of hilarity came from an unexpected studio incident.
“It’s funny because we are in this room and we’ve just finished the song. There’s me, Jessie, Pete, who are the two people I write with the most. And for some reason we are singing gang vocals and Jessie has just got his feet out, picking his toes,” Smith said, prompting laughter from the show’s hosts.
Smith added that the moment was too funny to edit out: “Me and Pete are like, ‘you couldn’t wait five more minutes?’ The song is about to end, man! It was great, we had to keep it in there.”
