Wynne Evans returns to launch brand-new daily radio show

Wynne Evans promised he’d return following his departure from BBC Radio Wales and now he’s back on the airwaves from next week with a brand-new radio show.

The Wynne Evans Show will broadcast live every weekday from 9am to 12pm exclusively on his own website, giving “The Wynners” three hours of his trademark humour, warmth and an eclectic mix of music and guests.

Wynne recently posted on social media that his contract with the BBC wasn’t being renewed and announced his “next venture” – launching his own radio show.

Well-known for his operatic talent, stage performances, and memorable adverts as the Go.Compare man, Wynne says this new venture is all about reconnecting with his loyal community of listeners, fondly known as “The Wynners”.

“This show is for my amazing community, The Wynners, who’ve supported me through thick and thin,” he said. “After so many messages and calls asking me to come back, I knew I had to do something special.

“This show is my way of giving back – a space where we can come together every morning, share a laugh, play the music we love, and just be ourselves. It’s more than a show; it’s a proper family.”
