Rylan, Scott Mills & Richie Anderson are Radio 2’s Eurovision presenters

Rylan, Scott Mills and Richie Anderson will be on hosting duties on BBC Radio 2 for this years Eurovision Song Contest.

Richie will present the two Semi-Finals, while Scott and Rylan will present the Grand Final on the station. Richie and Rylan also joined Scott Mills on his Afternoon Show today to draw a Eurovision sweepstake for its presenters!

Discussing how he feels about joining the Eurovision team, Richie said: “I can’t wait, honestly! For me, I always say that my Summer Olympics is Eurovision, my Winter Olympics is Strictly, so I just can’t wait.

“I remember when I was a little boy and I was at my Auntie Jackie’s and I saw Gina G performing in a sparkly dress and I thought, I’m in! And from that moment I’ve never looked back. And to be part of it, especially at Radio 2, and to be bringing in the contest from Malmö to our listeners is a massive honour!”

Scott says: “I’m so excited to be reunited with my Eurovision husband, Rylan, in the commentary booth in Malmö for my favourite time of the year. I can’t wait to bring the glitz, the glamour and the frankly bizarre from the competition to the nation.

“Last year we ended up in fancy dress as Eurovision drag legends, Verka and her mum… so who knows what’s going to happen this year?!”

Rylan says: “Malmö, watch out! I can’t wait to pop on a sequin and grab myself some glitter for the best week of the year.

“Being in the commentary booth for Loreen’s win last year was emotional, I actually cried, so to be returning – alongside my Eurovision husband, Scott Mills – is a proper honour. We’ll be flying the flag for our Olly as the eyes of the world descend on Sweden!”
