Capital Breakfast host Jordan North gets checked live on-air

This morning, Capital Breakfast launched a new campaign “Balls To Monday”, to raise awareness of testicular cancer following co-host Chris Stark’s recent diagnosis and treatment.
The initiative took place today at the station’s Leicester Square studios, where a medical professional, Dr Amos was on hand to offer testicular cancer checks to fellow radio presenters and colleagues.
Jordan North got himself checked live on-air to show his support and the hope to break the stigma around discussing men’s health and highlight the importance of early detection.
The campaign was also supported by friends of the show including Ant & Dec and comedian Rob Beckett. Capital Breakfast listeners across the country got in touch to let Jordan, Chris and Sian know that they were taking part in the campaign initiative this morning.
Dr Amos talked through it as he examined Jordan, and when it was done, Jordan said: “That’s it!”
Commenting on it, Chris then said: “You can stress you can overthink. We’re all in this together, we don’t have to be too serious, don’t overthink it.
“Get your mates, get this done. If there’s one thing we’re asking you to do today, if you’re unsure about anything today, go to your doctors examine yourself like Jordan has today. Jordan thank you so much for setting a great example today.”
