Lady Ga Ga to talk Joker 2: Folie A Deux on Hits Radio Breakfast
Lady Gaga joined Hits Radio’s entertainment reporter Olivia Marks for a chat recently, ahead of the UK release of her new film Joker 2: Folie A Deux.
You can hear the interview on the Hits Radio Breakfast Show with Fleur East tomorrow morning, Thursday 3 October.
Gaga shared that she’s ‘not done’ with Harley Quinn yet and feels ‘she’s got so much to say’ as well as why she and Joaquin Phoenix were equally nervous on set.
“I used to feel like I would make my art at any cost and now I think I have found that I make better work when I feel truly stable at home and happy and balanced in my life,” she said. “Every day that I came home from set on Joker I made dinner and Michael and I having dinner at the end of the day together makes the whole thing.”
Speaking personally, she revealed: “I have felt so healed by the darkness of being a woman and what that can feel like is that If something good happens to you that it was an accident and it was a mistake. Because how could – if you are feeling that broken – how can you make anything good happen? But it is possible.”
As for being nervous on set while filming, she admitted: “Joaquin and I were both nervous for different reasons, maybe him more for music and me much more for acting. But the more we worked together and spent time together, we got into a groove, and I’d say about two weeks into filming we really got there, we stated to get to the truth of the thing.”
Gaga seems to have enjoyed her role and seemed to hint there could be more: “I definitely don’t feel done with Lee as a character she’s got so much to say. What an interesting gal.”
