Sam Thompson reduces big sister Louise to tears on his radio show
Sam Thompson’s big sister Louise Thompson got emotional when she popped into the studio to join him for a chat about her new book, Lucky.
The book covers Louise’s journey to having baby Leo; from suffering a miscarriage, to being caught in a house fire and then needing an emergency c-section which left her fighting for her life.
The impact on her mental health has seen Louise forced to rebuild herself and Lucky shares her experiences in raw and honest detail.
Speaking on his show Sam told her: “I’m so proud of you mate, not just because of the things that you have been through but for the book, the mental fortitude that I’ve seen.”
As his kind words reduced her to tears, Sam admitted that he’d teared up too, before praising her for her empathy: “Little Leo couldn’t ask for a better mother, role model and he’s going to grow up and read these books and be like my Mum is a superhero. Everyone looks up to you, I look up to you as a little brother, and this book is going to change lives,” he added.
