Jane McDonald to debut hosting show on Radio 2 this Christmas

Jane McDonald was one of Zoe Ball’s Friends Round Friday this morning on BBC Radio 2 and revealed she’s making her presenting debut on the station this Christmas.

Zoe said to Jane: “You’re doing something very exciting for Radio 2, which we found out about yesterday and all completely lost it. You are going to be part of our Christmas!

“You’re going to be on from 12 o’clock on Christmas Day so everyone’s prepping the turkey, making the gravy, having a sherry, unwrapping presents, trying to keep grandma off too many sherrys! You’ll be there. What are you going to play?

Jane responded that she’s playing all the classics, all the new ones and all the old ones.

“I used to do a Christmas show at Leeds Arena, a big Christmas show, and I’ve missed doing that so I’ve decided to put it on the radio instead so basically it’s every Christmas hit coming,” she added.
