Former Strictly co-stars Fleur East and Tyler West catch up on Hits Radio

Tyler West joined his former Strictly co-star Fleur East on her Hits Radio Breakfast Show this morning to talk about his new role as a Water Aid ambassador.

The KISS Radio presenter also told Fleur and her team about a recent trip he took to Zambia for the charity.

“I saw some things that I can never unsee, but where you start off definitely doesn’t determine where you’re going to end up,” he said and explained the vital work that Water Aid is doing in the country to fight its water crisis.

The pair then reminisced about their time on Strictly together, with Tyler admitting that he has “massive FOMO” when he’s watching the latest series. Although he’s cheering on Dianne Buswell, his pro from last year, he confessed that there’s another couple he’s getting behind as well.

“I know how much Di wants to get to the final, but my mum is honestly in love with Vito, so I feel like if I don’t say Vito…. and I love watching Vito and Ellie dance, they have been amazing,” he admitted, adding, “Layton has been amazing as well, he’s a star, but it’s anybody’s for the taking.”

As far as he’s concerned, Tyler says he doesn’t mind that he didn’t win last year because he made some good friends and “got an incredible girlfriend out of it”.

Girlfriend Molly Rainford is currently starring in EastEnders, and Tyler says he’d be open to offers from the soap’s casting team.

He told Fleur: “I went to pick Molly up from work and I did a little behind the scenes tour and started meeting everybody – shaking hands for that extra five seconds longer in the hope that someone would offer me an extras role!

“My family have loved the show ever since I can remember, so if a part came up I 100% would be all over it!”
