S Club 7 are back and chat to Scott Mills on his Radio 2 show
Ahead of their just-announced S Club 7 Reunited 25th Anniversary Tour, they joined Scott Mills on his BBC Radio 2 afternoon show.
The group had hits including Reach, Don’t Stop Movin’ and Bring It All Back in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and now all of the original members are set to perform in their reunion tour of the UK and Ireland in October.
Bradley, Hannah, Jo, Jon, Paul, Rachel, and Tina spoke with Scott Mills about how it was getting back together and if there might be new music from them.
Jon told Scott that it doesn’t feel any different now, to when they were previously together.
“We’ve known each other for a very, very long time – so we just slip into a natural routine, old habits of how we are and how we get along with each other,” he said.
Scott asked if they could still remember all of their dance moves?
Paul responded: “I remember all of [the dance moves] exactly – I was the master of the dance moves. There’s definitely a few there that I won’t be able to do… remember that caterpillar!”
Tina remembered: “Brad always used to do a handstand… and all his change came out his pockets.”
Hannah added: “And Jon backflipped.”
Scott then asked Bradley if we’ll be seeing that again?”
“No, definitely not,” Bradley answered. “It depends on what the insurance policy is like on this tour!”
There was no definite answer as to whether they will be recording new music, but Scott did ask the question.
Jo answered by saying: “We are just really concentrating on the tour at the moment, but I always say ‘never say never’ and if the fans want it and things go really well [then] very possibly.”
You can listen back to the interview on BBC Sounds and there will also be an extended version available later this week.
