Ronnie Wood to play the blues on BBC Radio 2
This Monday 15 August, Ronnie Wood is hosting the Radio 2 Blues Show live from the BBC’s Wogan House in London.
The Rolling Stone is covering the award-winning show while its regular presenter Cerys Matthews takes a break for a couple of weeks.
Ronnie is no stranger to hosting radio shows, having spent time presenting for Absolute Radio and Absolute Classic Rock in the UK. The show was also syndicated around the world.
In 2011 Wood won the Sony Radio Personality of the Year award for the show.
Having recently finished a global tour with the Stones, Ronnie who’s spent a lifetime playing the blues in one form or another, will be playing a selection of his favourites and telling the stories behind some of his wildest adventures in the blues when he gets behind the Radio 2 microphone on Monday evening 9-10pm.
The following Monday 22 August, Huey Morgan from the Fun Lovin’ Criminals will cover the show for Cerys.
