Sian Welby joins Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp

Sian Welby is joining Roman Kemp and Sonny Jay on Capital Breakfast, after Vick Hope left the station.

Sian was previously presenting the Heart evening show. She’s been appearing with Roman Kemp and Sonny Jay on Capital Breakfast this week as a guest but has now been confirmed as being part of the team.

Formally a weather presenter on Channel 5 in 2010, Sian has been with Heart for just over 3 years, having replaced Roberto on evenings in January 2017.

She said: “After an incredible 3 years at Heart I am beyond excited to be starting a whole new adventure on Capital – it hasn’t really sunk in yet but I’m overwhelmed with the support from everyone…I can’t stop smiling!”

A new host of evenings on Heart will be announced shortly, the station says.

Vick hope left Capital last month, with the news announced on Twitter that she had already left and wouldn’t be returning.
