New Absolute Radio poll reveals Greatest Guitar Anthem
Sweet Child O’ Mine by Guns N’ Roses has been voted the Greatest Guitar Anthem in a new poll by Absolute Radio.
The US band, which formed in 1985 and are set to return to the UK later this year to headline Glastonbury and British Summer Time, have two songs in the Top 25, with Paradise City charting at No.21.
Over 8,000 listeners voted in the poll with a countdown airing on Absolute Radio over the weekend. Also making the Top 25 list were Pink Floyd at No.2 with Comfortably Numb, Fleetwood Mac’s The Chain at No.5 and Jimi Hendrix All Along the Watchtower at No.9.
