Phil Williams is back on the radio
After leaving BBC Radio 5 Live in May, Phil Williams is returning to radio to host the talkRADIO drivetime show for a week.
He’ll be covering for Eamonn Holmes from today, Monday 22nd July until Thursday 25th July 4pm – 7pm.
His colleague, and talkRADIO breakfast presenter Julia Hartley-Brewer tweeted that he’ll also be live from College Green on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Phil had spent 18 years at 5 Live and had presented the late show since 2013.
Previously, he’d worked at BBC Radio 1, GMR in Manchester and XFM London.
When he left 5 Live there was an amount of speculation as to where he might turn up next and it was probably fuelled a little when Phil tweeted: “Gone Fishing.”
Although his stint on talkRADIO is for just one week, we’re not sure if Phil has returned from his fishing trip permanently!
Back on your radio next week. Monday 22nd July- Thursday 25th.
