Heart Breakfast has announced Leona Lewis, James Arthur and Olly Murs will join Take That at Heart Christmas Live with NatWest.
Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden revealed the three new acts during Wednesday morning’s Heart Breakfast, with the first ever event taking place at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday 14 December.
Leona Lewis was the first new name announced, with Jamie highlighting her worldwide record sales, UK number ones and international chart success before confirming her appearance at the Christmas event.
Speaking to Amanda and Jamie, Leona said she was excited to perform and praised the way her Christmas song Just One More Sleep had become part of people’s festive celebrations.
Leona also reflected on returning to the Royal Albert Hall, where she has performed previously, describing it as “such a beautiful and iconic venue” with great sound.
The singer revealed that there would be plenty of sparkle in her outfit, while also explaining how having children had changed Christmas for her.
She said: “It’s made everything so much more magical and more fun. We do the little Elf on the Shelf; we started doing that last year so it’s just so beautiful.”
James Arthur was then announced as the third act, with the singer sending a Christmas message to Heart Breakfast from his kitchen alongside his daughter Emily.
James told Jamie and Amanda: “I’m very excited to be playing Heart Christmas Live with NatWest. The Royal Albert Hall is an iconic venue isn’t it, Emily?”
His daughter agreed before James added that he would be arriving with “all my Christmas spirit” and wished listeners a Merry Christmas.
Olly Murs was the fourth act confirmed for the event, with the singer saying he was looking forward to performing at the Royal Albert Hall alongside Take That.
Olly said the venue was “classy” and described the night as an “amazing night of entertainment”, adding that he already knew about some of the other acts involved.
The singer also revealed that his Christmas decorations are likely to go up in early November, after previously putting them up much later before becoming a parent.
He told Heart Breakfast that his favourite Christmas song is Queen’s Thank God It’s Christmas, remembering a family Christmas when he dressed as Freddie Mercury.
Heart Christmas Live with NatWest will be hosted by Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston and will feature live music, readings and other entertainment for the whole family.
General sale tickets go on sale this Friday, 25 September.
