French Montana has revealed that he owns luxury watches worth more than a million as he joined Capital XTRA Breakfast.
The rapper appeared on Capital XTRA Breakfast with Robert Bruce and Shayna Marie alongside D Block Europe’s Young Adz, discussing their new album Worldwide Wave.
Asked by Shayna Marie about the most expensive piece of jewellery he owns, French Montana revealed the eye watering value of some of his watches.
He said: “I own a watch or two that costs over a million.”
French Montana also spoke about the return of Max B, who has been released from prison, describing the moment he saw his long-time collaborator walk free as “an unreal moment”.
Reflecting on Max B’s original sentence, French Montana said he had been in court when he was given 75 years and never expected him to return home.
He said: “I was always pushing the envelope and saying ‘he’s coming home, he’s coming home, he’s coming home’. I was just speaking it into fruition.”
French Montana explained that seeing Max B leave prison and return to making music was particularly significant, adding: “To just see him free and see us back to work like we never left it’s just amazing within itself.”
The conversation then turned to Worldwide Wave, the new collaboration between French Montana and D Block Europe, with French describing the project as a meeting between America and London.
He said: “America meets London, man. There’s nothing bigger. We’re the first ones to do it and we’re making history happen right in front of their face.”
Asked by Robert Bruce how the project came together, French Montana said the collaboration developed from a genuine connection after the artists met in Paris.
He explained: “I was a big fan of their music and it was the other way. And we just met and we kicked it. We recorded one song and the vibe was just there.”
French Montana said the recording sessions continued as more tracks came together before the artists decided to develop the idea into a wider project.
He also compared Young Adz and LB from D Block Europe to himself and Max B, saying they share a similar creative approach to making music.
French Montana said: “They don’t think about everything they just work on the creative and they work on making great music.”
