After saying on Dig it she didn’t get Strictly is Zoe Ball joining GHR?
There are reports online that Zoe Ball is joining Greatest Hits Radio after stepping down from her BBC Radio 2 Saturday show last December.
According to The Sun, a source told it: “Greatest Hits have wanted her for a while and as soon as Zoe found out about not getting the Strictly job, she decided to take it.
They added that she knows a lot of people at the station and can’t wait to get started in the autumn.
Zoe recently revealed that she had put herself forward to present Strictly Come Dancing but wasn’t successful. Speaking about it to Jo Whiley on their Dig It podcast, Zoe said: “I didn’t get it, but it’s OK. I have worked through the seven stages of grief and rejection over the last couple of days.
“I was so chuffed to even be in the mix. There were some pretty amazing people who didn’t even make it into the mix. I’m so thrilled for the gang that has got it.”
If the reports about Zoe’s move to Greatest Hits Radio are true, she’ll be joining other former Radio 2 colleagues Simon Mayo, Alex Lester and Ken Bruce who have joined the station. Paul Gambaccini can also be heard on GHR as well as Radio 2.
There’s no word yet from Greatest Hits Radio to confirm that Zoe is joining the station.
