Jamie Theakston has revealed that Beyoncé once tried to set him up with her Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland.
The Heart Breakfast host was chatting on-air with co-hosts Amanda Holden and Ashley Roberts when he recalled the unexpected moment.
While interviewing Destiny’s Child during a Top of the Pops appearance, Jamie says Beyoncé asked if he was single and then suggested he and Kelly would be a great match.
“She said, ‘Oh, Kelly’s single, you two would make a fantastic…’ and I went ‘Oh stop it!’” he told his co-hosts, laughing.
Amanda responded with “The name drop!” while Ashley said, “My jaw is on the floor,” as Jamie added, “How different my life would have been.”
