Jordan North is leaving BBC Radio and being replaced by Jamie Laing
Jordan North is leaving BBC Radio 1 and will be replaced on the Drivetime show by Jamie Laing.
Jamie is a broadcaster and producer who currently co-hosts the Radio 1 podcast ‘6 Degrees from Jamie and Spencer’ for BBC Sounds and can also be heard on the podcast ‘NewlyWeds’ which he presents alongside his wife Sophie Habboo.
The former Made in Chelsea star has previously presented on Radio 1, covering for Mollie King whilst she was on maternity leave.
Jamie will join Vick Hope on the Going Home show from 4 March, Monday to Thursday from 3.30pm till 6pm.
Jordan has been with Radio 1 for ten years with his first major show being Radio 1’s Greatest Hits on Sundays. There’s no word yet where Jordan is going next.
On joining Radio 1, Jamie Laing says: “I’ve loved every minute that I’ve been on air with Radio 1 in recent years, so to be joining Vick on Drivetime is just incredible. To be working with Vick is an absolute dream so I’m beyond excited to get started and keep listeners company on their journeys home.”
