Tom Cruise reveals how much of part two of latest movie is filmed
Tom Cruise and Hayley Atwell spoke to Zoe Ball on her Radio 2 Breakfast Show this morning about the latest Mission Impossible movie.
The stunts that Tom does in the film came up in the conversation. Zoe asked him about the preparation that goes into them, such as going off a cliff on a motorbike.
Tom joked that it feels like the prep and the amount of work started when he was about four years old!
“I was jumping off buildings and climbing trees when I was a little kid and then it was just, we try to take everything that we learn from one movie and then put it into the next,” he told Zoe. “That’s been my whole career since I had the privilege to be able to make movies.
“I’m constantly pushing and seeing and trying to learn everything I can about cinema, story, take all that knowledge and go into the next one…. [Even when we were doing Top Gun Maverick] we’re constantly talking about and I’m training and doing things and testing things even years before we start, and working on how would we do it.”
For part two of the movie, he revealed they’ve already shot about 30% of that film: “Just today I spent four hours training. I woke up I had four hours training and then production meetings… its seven days a week and my training, we’re on it,” he added.
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will be in cinemas next week.
