Comedian Joe Lycett tells KISS Breakfast why GBBO is a no no

Joe Lycett dropped in on Jordan & Perri during KISS Breakfast this morning.

There have recently been rumours that the comedian might replace Matt Lucas on the Great British Bake Off, but now Joe has shared why he’s ruled himself out… because he’s too lazy!

“I don’t want to do it, I did The Sewing Bee which is basically the same show just about sewing,” he told Jordan & Perri. “They wake you up at something like 4am, I know you do a Breakfast Show but you’re there until sometimes like 9/10 O’clock and I like a quiet life.

“I work for 20 minutes max and then I have to be suspended in a salt bath for a week. I can’t be bothered. I truly can’t be bothered,” Joe admitted.

Jordan responded that it was the most honest answer they’d ever had on the show.

Joe then added: “I’d love the cash; I’d love the extra fame but no I can’t be bothered.”

Perri then joked that if it were him, he’d take the cash and extra fame!

“I would love to see you do that, truly I would love to see you do it,” Joe responded.
