Chris Moyles hilarious rant about not winning at the British Podcast Awards
Radio X breakfast host Chris Moyles seemed a little miffed at not winning a gong at the British Podcast Awards last weekend after his show had received a nomination.
During his show yesterday, Chris had a hilarous rant over the awards and nominees for the category, Best Radio Podcast which his show had been in the running. He said another of the nominations was for “Santa Daily” – a daily podcast with Santa from Fun Kids Radio.
“There’s no way Father Christmas is doing a daily podcast 365 days a year,” Chris said, adding: “So that must be a radio show that’s on for a month?
“Six shows a week, we’re flogging our nuts off… meanwhile that Fun Kids…!
“Six nominees, three awards and what do we get?” Chris asked, then shouted: “Chuff all, nothing, naff all.
“And to make it look fair, Santa Daily didn’t get anything either, which is a weird thing because it’s run by the people who run the awards!
“They’re so dumb they don’t even give themselves an award.”
Chris added, that if he ran an awards ceremony and he entered, he’d win!
He then congratulated all the winners, especially The Tunnel who won the category he’d been nominated in, and quipped: “I can’t wait to tune in!”
