Peter Andre reveals Mysterious Girl secret and new album plans

Peter Andre has revealed why he struggled to listen to his biggest hit “Mysterious Girl” during an interview on Heart 90s Breakfast.

Speaking to Kevin Hughes on the show, Peter said he recorded the original track while suffering from a heavy cold, leaving him unhappy with how his voice sounded.

He explained that this was the main reason he wanted to re-record the song for his new album Legacy, ensuring he could finally capture the vocals the way he intended.

Peter said he even warned producers he would delay recording if he had a cold again, highlighting how important it was for him to get the track right this time.

The singer also shared a surprise revelation that an unreleased version of “Mysterious Girl” exists featuring Shaggy, recorded as a demo but never completed or released.

Looking ahead, Peter said he remains determined to achieve another number one, describing it as a personal goal he will continue to pursue.

He told listeners he is willing to keep releasing music for years if needed, adding he “won’t stop” until he reaches the top spot again.

The interview also reflected on his career highlights from the 1990s, as he celebrates 30 years since the release of “Mysterious Girl”.
