Niall Gray joins Hits Radio as Owen Warner takes West End role
Niall Gray is joining Hits Radio as Owen Warner steps back from his Friday and Saturday night shows this summer to make his West End debut.
The broadcaster and actor has recently joined the cast of Agatha Christie’s Witness for the Prosecution, marking a major moment in his stage career and prompting a temporary change to his radio schedule.
From this Friday, 1 May, Niall will take over the weekend evening slots, bringing his mix of comedy and broadcasting experience to the station’s audience.
Niall has previously worked across Capital and the BBC and has built a strong following online, with viral videos parodying TV formats and cultural trends regularly reaching millions of views.
He also took to the stage at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2025 with his comedy show Let the Best Man Win, further establishing his profile as both a presenter and performer.
Speaking about joining the station, Niall said: “I’m so excited to be joining Hits Radio and working alongside such a brilliant lineup of presenters. I can’t wait to get started and have some fun with the listeners every weekend.”
Hits Radio Content Director Paul Gerrard welcomed the new addition while praising Owen’s contribution to the station.
He said: “We’re really excited to welcome Niall to the Hits Radio family. He’s a fantastic talent and we can’t wait for listeners to hear what he’s got lined up.”
Paul also acknowledged Owen’s move into theatre, adding: “We all want to wish Owen the very best as he makes his West End debut and thank him for all the energy, fun and passion he’s brought to the station at the weekends.”
Owen will remain part of the Hits Radio line-up and is expected to return to the station later this year following his theatre run.
