GK Barry to host the BRITs red carpet for KISS this year

I’m A Celeb star GK Barry joined Jordan and Perri on KISS Breakfast this morning to share the news that she’d be hosting the BRITs red carpet for the station.

Taking place on 1 March, GK will be interviewing the likes of Sabrina Carpenter, Teddy Swims, JADE, Lola Young and Shaboozey as they walk the red carpet ahead of the show exclusively for KISS listeners.

She told Jordan and Perri: “I think it might be too big a responsibility! But I’m going to go in, heckle, hope for the best and grab consensually. That what I’m going to do.”

Asked about who she was most excited to meet, GK confessed: “I’ll be fangirling over Sabrina [Carpenter] she is an icon, like a Barbie doll. I hope she’s nice. I will force her to answer all my questions.”

GK also shared her prep schedule for the event: “Full glam, put a bit of Real Housewives on to calm the nerves, prosecco and then hairspray my feet so they don’t hurt in heel.”

KISS will be supporting both the Dance and the R&B Awards at this year’s BRIT Awards with Mastercard and – thanks to GK’s promotion to the red carpet, one lucky listener will be given the chance to win what would have been GK’s seats to the events – as well as entry to the after party.

GK herself has set a high bar with details of one eventful night out of her own, revealing: “I nearly died in Ibiza because I was drunk and thought I would re-enact Friends in the water fountain without realising exactly how deep that fountain was!”
