First ever Classic FM Live at the Movies concert to be held

Classic FM will celebrate the biggest blockbuster movie hits of all time with a new concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Taking place on Thursday 24 April 2025 at 7.30pm, the first ever Classic FM Live at the Movies with Viking follows the launch of station’s new sister Classic FM Movies, in September, which plays the world’s greatest film music 24/7.

The concert will feature the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra – an official partner of the station – conducted by Anthony Gabriele, with special performances from a line-up of world-class musicians.

Hosted by Classic FM presenters, the evening will include movie themes including Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, Mission: Impossible, The Lord of the Rings, and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Dramatic lights and fireworks will accompany the musicians in the finale.

Philip Noyce, Classic FM’s Managing Editor, said: “Following the recent launch of our new sister station Classic FM Movies, it’s exciting to announce our new live concert – Classic FM Live at the Movies with Viking – dedicated to film music.

“Powered by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and a line-up of star soloists, it will be a spectacular evening of the greatest blockbuster film scores, at the home of our live Classic FM events, the Royal Albert Hall.”

Tickets will be available from Wednesday 11 December at 10am from Global Player or the Royal Albert Hall box office.
