Roman Kemp admits he’s “terrified” to present BRIT Awards

Ant and Dec dropped into the Capital Breakfast studio this morning to wish Roman Kemp good luck presenting the BRIT Awards tomorrow night.

Roman admitted to them that he’s “terrified” and asked the pair for advice ahead of hosting the show.

When Roman told them how nervous he was, Declan said that he’d wondered how he felt about it.

“Look… especially in my house,” Roman responded, “right, I grew up in a house of music and like it’s the biggest night I always say it’s our Oscars I know we’ve got the BAFTA’s but it almost seems a little bit too elite in a way like you know, it’s kind of in a different world… but I do think that it’s like the Oscars that we have so I think…  I don’t really know what to do … how to feel …if you’ve got any advice?”

Ant said that it is a big beast, but he should enjoy it and make the TV show for everyone at home not the people in the hall because they don’t listen to a word being said. He added that everyone’s eating their dinner or getting drunk and said plenty went wrong when they presented the show.

Roman thanked Ant and Dec for their advice and “for being the best warm up act for me tomorrow night,” adding, “You set them up and I’ll knock them down, don’t you worry!”
