Chris Moyles pays emotional tribute to Steve Wright on Radio X

This morning, on his Radio X Breakfast Show, Chris Moyles paid an emotional tribute to Steve Wright saying he was “a quirky man, but a lovely genuine sweetheart”.

Chris revealed that he and Steve would go for dinner, chat on the phone, and sometimes meet up, having some hilarious conversations.

“He was, an absolute pro, a gentleman, a lovely, lovely guy,” Chris said. “He was a very positive guy, how me and him got on I have no idea. We were very different. He was a big supporter. Listened to this show, knew everybody who worked on this show. Love him. I can’t comprehend that I’ll never talk to him again.”

Chris also revealed that Steve was a private person, so he felt very flattered that Steve let him into his life a little bit.

“He even made it onto this show when it was my thirty years of Radio,” Chris recalled. “He sent a message which I absolutely adored and there you go. Cheers Steve to everything, we lost you too soon, and he’s left me with so many amazing memories.
