Sam Thompson returns from jungle to huge welcome at Hits Radio HQ
There was a right royal reception for Sam Thompson when the King of the Jungle returned to his day job at Hits Radio.
Staff at the station’s headquarters rolled out the red carpet to welcome him back – with confetti cannons, banners and a Colin the Caterpillar cake to greet him.
Fellow Hits Radio presenter, Breakfast Show host Fleur East, plus a special guest – her Strictly partner Vito Coppola, were also there to bestow a fitting welcome on the recently crowned I’m a Celebrity champion!
Sam could hardly believe the welcome home party and said: “This is the greatest thing ever! Thank you so much – I love this, I don’t want this to stop! I can’t believe it. That was the coolest thing ever! We’re back baby!”
He’ll back on air very soon! You can hear him on Hits Radio from 1pm on Christmas Day with a Jungle Bells special which reunites him with some of his I’m a Celebrity campmates, and he’s also seeing out 2023 with a special New Years Eve Chart Show.
