BBC Radio 6 Music’s T-Shirt Day returns for 2023
Friday 24 November will be BBC Radio 6 Music’s T-Shirt Day as the annual event returns for its 16th year.
Listeners are encouraged to wear their favourite band tee, old or new, for the day, to show some love for their favourite artist. They can send in song requests by sharing a picture of them wearing their band or artist T-Shirt on social media, using the hashtag #TShirtDay.
The day kicks off at 5am with Chris Hawkins, followed by Lauren Laverne, Mary Anne-Hobbs, Craig Charles and Huw Stephens during their shows, continuing until 7pm.
T-Shirt Day is for music fans to show off the music-related T-Shirts they have collected over the years – whether they bought it last week or it’s been in a drawer for decades.
Famous names who have taken part in previous years include Chrissie Hynde, Fearne Cotton, Helena Christensen, Hey Duggee, Jodie Whittaker, Johnny Marr, Kate Moss, Lizzo, Nadine Shah, Noel Fielding, Owain Wyn Evans and Simon Pegg.
