Scott Mills kicks off his treadmill challenge on BBC Radio 2

The Great Scott TreadMills Challenge for Radio 2 kicked off at 8.20 this morning.

Scott was introduced by Zoe Ball, who was broadcasting her Breakfast Show live from the BBC Radio Theatre in London. He came on stage dressed as a boxer complete with a satin gown and boxing gloves as he readied himself for the 24 hour challenge to raise money for Children in Need.

Zoe asked Scott if he’d found his nipple covers, which he had lost. He replied that he hadn’t, but there were some being delivered to Wogan House and asked if someone could manage to get them to him because they are important!

Speaking about his 24 hour challenge, Scott told Zoe: “I’m just gonna do what I can. Let’s see what my legs and feet can do.

“We’re all in this together, apart from it’s just me on a treadmill, but I know it’s the toughest time to ask for money at the moment, but please, anything you can give… I’m not Joe Wicks, I’m really going to have to dig in here. This is a different scenario.

“I asked Rylan yesterday, how did you look the same after 24 hours and he went ‘four layers of make-up babe!’ I’m going to be a big red sweaty mess!”

He admitted that he’s had nightmares that he’ll be the first person who won’t be able to one of these challenges.

Zoe then said: “All this chat is just delaying the obvious – I know this tactic myself!”

The countdown began and he was off on The Great Scott TreadMills Challenge.
