Liam Gallagher to perform in BBC Radio 2’s Piano Room
**UPDATE** We’ve been informed by the BBC today (26 October), that Liam will now not be performing for Radio 2’s Piano Room – more details here.
Liam Gallagher is to play a set during the Ken Bruce Show next month.
Voted ‘The Greatest Frontman Of All Time’ by Q Magazine, the former lead singer with Oasis will perform from the BBC’s Maida Vale studios, accompanied by The BBC Concert Orchestra, as the Radio 2 Piano Room returns.
Liam has achieved great solo success – earlier this year, his fourth solo album (and twelfth in total), C’mon You Know, reached Number One and he sold out two shows at Knebworth Park. His live album, Down By The River Thames, also charted in the Top Five.
He has also been busy touring this year, with shows in Australia, New Zealand, South America and the UK and Ireland.
Liam has also celebrated the life of his friend Taylor Hawkins when he performed at the Foo Fighters’ tribute concert at Wembley Stadium in September.
Many big-name artists have performed from the Radio 2 Piano Room in the past, including George Michael, Michael Buble, Coldplay, Sting and Paul McCartney.
You can hear Liam Gallagher’s performance on BBC Radio 2 during Ken Bruce’s show on Thursday 10 November.
