Chloe Tilley and Calum Macdonald take over Times Radio Weekend Breakfast

Chloe Tilley and Calum Macdonald are the new presenters of Times Radio Breakfast from 6-10am, every Friday to Sunday.

This follows the departure of Jenny Kleeman and Luke Jones from the station.

Chloe Tilley is a two-time Sony award-winning presenter, with over 15 years of experience presenting live news programmes. She has previously worked for the BBC News Channel, BBC World News, Radio 5 Live, Radio 4 and the World Service.

Chloe has anchored BBC news programmes from Donald Trump’s inauguration in Washington, to the last four General Elections and two Royal weddings. In 2018 she was part of the presenting team that won a Sony Gold for the live coverage of the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. She is a regular presenter on Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour.

Calum Macdonald has presented Early Breakfast on Times Radio since its launch in June 2020, as well as working on shows across the station’s schedule. He’s presented stand-alone programmes on, among other things, the Fall of Afghanistan and the death of the Duke of Edinburgh, as well as interviewing cabinet ministers, senior politicians, CEOs, and everyone from spies to war reporters to protestors.

Prior to joining Times Radio, Calum was a producer, reporter and presenter at the BBC, working at BBC Radio 5 Live and at BBC Radio Scotland.

Chloe Tilley said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the Times Radio Breakfast team and sharing a studio with Calum. I love the programme and can’t wait to get started.”

Calum Macdonald said: “There aren’t many people in the world for whom a move to presenting Breakfast radio would mean longer in bed. Unbelievably, I’m lucky to be one of them. Chloe is world class and Times Radio is the most credible and welcoming news radio station in generations. I’m privileged to be on the team which will break, fast, the news – all weekend.”

Times Radio Programme Director, Tim Levell, said: “Times Radio listeners are discerning and demanding. They want journalistic credibility, and a warm, friendly listen. Chloe Tilley and Calum Macdonald deliver both in spades. The news doesn’t stop at the weekend, and Chloe and Calum will give listeners even more reasons to tune to Times Radio.”
