Steve Penk returns to the airwaves

After being absent for some time, Steve Penk is returning to to present a radio show across the UK this weekend.

Last week Penk, known for his radio windups, told his followers on Twitter that it’s been 13 years since presenting a show on a big major UK radio station. He continued: “It’s nice when someone contacts you and asks if you can, I said yes. Coming soon….find me x.”

Starting his radio career at Manchester’s Piccadilly Radio at the age of 16, Steve eventually landed the breakfast show when the station had become Key 103. The show was a huge success, achieving record audience figures, still unrivalled today. He moved to London to host mid-mornings on Capital in 1997 and then to Virgin Radio in 2001.

Earlier today, Steve took to Twitter again, but this time to reveal which station he’s going to present a show on, tweeting: “Hello Greatest Hits Radio, It’s nice to be here. Covering ‘Boogie Nights’ tonight at 10pm.

105.8FM in London.

“Listen on DAB & FM everywhere in the UK, listen on your Smart Speaker, download the Greatest Hits Radio App.

“You can’t help but sing along.”

Greatest Hits Radio recently started broadcasting on FM across London, on what was  Absolute Radio’s old frequency. It can also be heard across the UK, mostly on DAB.

Welcome back to national radio Steve!
