Classic FM Live not going ahead due to coronavirus crisis

Classic FM has today announced that ‘Classic FM Live’ at the Royal Albert Hall, on Monday 18 May won’t be going ahead.

This follows the government’s advice regarding mass gatherings in relation to the developing coronavirus outbreak, coupled with the uncertainty surrounding live events and the Royal Albert Hall’s closure period.

The sold-out concert was to be in celebration of the 20th anniversary of ‘Classic FM Live’.

A spokesperson for Classic FM said: “Classic FM is extremely sorry for any disappointment this news has caused. However, the wellbeing of our listeners and particularly, in the current circumstances, older people and vulnerable adults, is of paramount importance and has been placed at the forefront of our decision making.”

Tickets will be refunded for the face value, booking fees and any delivery fees, where applicable, from the original point of purchase.
