Guess who’s going back to Heart after more than a year away

He’s returned the UK after spending 18 months working in LA, and now he’s back, Mark Wright is returning to Heart to host a brand new show.

He’ll be on-air across the Heart network Saturday afternoons from 4pm till 7pm.

Mark left the station in December 2017 to go and work in Los Angeles. He originally joined in December 2012 to host Club Classics every Friday and Saturday night.

The Sun says that the former Towie star had been hosting the US TV show Extra but returned to the UK in February after negotiating to be let out of his contract, so he could live full-time with his wife Michelle Keegan. He left on good terms and the door is open for him to work with them in the future.

Speaking about being back with the station, Mark says: “I’m buzzing to be back on the air at Heart. I’ll be playing the freshest feel-good hits to soundtrack your weekend. It’s going to be massive so make sure you join me as we turn up the feel-good every Saturday on Heart!”

James Rea, Managing Editor of Heart said: “Mark is the perfect host for Saturday evenings on Heart – he loves his music and he’ll bring a huge energy to his brand new show, which will be packed with the biggest feel-good tunes. He is incredibly popular with our listeners and we’re very happy to have him back behind the mic at Heart!”

Mark joins a host of familiar faces who present on Heart including Jamie Theakston, Amanda Holden, JK, Kelly Brook, Emma Bunton, Rochelle Humes and Jenni Falconer. His new show will be on-air from this Saturday 6 July.
